Job Summary
The Logistics Clerk will effectively coordinate day-to-day logistics operations. They are responsible for export logistics, the execution of shipping services, and compliance documentation activities required for in/outbound shipping.
What You’ll Do
Follow and adhere to logistics processes and procedures, providing suggestions for improvements as applicable.
Organize transportation activities including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule.
Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low.
Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes.
Develop and run logistics reports on a regular basis as instructed.
Ad-hoc projects as requested by management.
Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma or equivalent. A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.
Experience working in a distribution center environment.
Strong Microsoft Office experience, especially in Excel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with others.
Strong organizational skills and astute attention to detail.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Working knowledge of data extraction and analysis.
