Key aspects for the Logistics Associate are to handle day to day operations of the inventory movements between the tasting room and cold storage which is vital to the success of the operations department. Inventory includes cased goods, bottled olive oil, merchandise, packaging, and wine glassware that are stored onsite and at our third-party warehouses (excluding the Trade Warehouse). The Logistics Associate will be responsible for working in unison with all departments and providing unique attention to detail regarding the inter-workings of DAOU's operations and logistics. This position is scheduled from Thursday through Monday.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and provide recommendations to change systems, policies, and procedures regarding inventory operation and logistics
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system and monitor inventory counts in the tasting room to make sure wine is properly accounted for or has a transaction for it
Monitor allocations across multiple inventory sites and reconcile when needed
Help manage all inventory counts and physical movements across multiple DAOU production sites and warehouses
Work with our 3PL partner to ensure efficient and timely shipments, deliveries, inventory cycle and annual counts
Internal movements for inventory pools on WineDirect
Prepare inventory requisition for pickup
Perform cycle counts on a daily/weekly basis
Account for and put away the weekly transfers from offsite storage
Restock the onsite Membership inventory so that they are readily available to pull an order easily
Restock the Tasting Room of all merchandise and disposables controlled by the Logistics team
Keep the Cold Storage room organized for safe and highly efficient workflow
Ensure that the Tasting Room and other employees follow the procedures that are passed down from management
Electronically file Bills of Lading that accurately accounts for all wine that was transferred between locations
Requirements

Ability to accurately track inventory and creates reports
Excellent organizational skill and planning skills

Must be at least 21 years of age
Forklift experience preferred
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. repeatedly
