Logistics Director manages all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Being a Logistics Director oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Additionally, Logistics Director ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Provide vision, leadership and coaching in global logistics planning and supply chain optimization, including inbound, outbound and intercompany transfers. Lead our global logistics team in the optimization of freight and warehouse capacity with measurable performance and total cost targets against industry benchmarks. Identify and lead the implementation of improvement projects that guarantee excellence in overall operations, delivering customer service excellence on a global level while ensuring that standards are upheld in support of corporate goals and YOY sales targets. Actively contribute to organizational objectives on Safety, Cost, Order to Delivery, Inventory, and Compliance. This position implements innovative efficiencies while working as partners with all other areas of the business.

14. Develop policies, procedures, methods, and standards for logistics’ activities and projects.
15. Maintains and develops positive business relationships with transportation vendors involved in logistics activities.
16. Reviews logistics performance with customers and vendors against targets, benchmarks, and service agreements.
17. Supports inventory accuracy program. Allocates and assign logistics resources to cycle count warehouses that are under Logistics control, including contract warehouses. Fully supports and participates in annual physical inventory count and other inventory accuracy processes.
18. Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable transportation regulations (DOT, IMDG, IATA).
Required:
· 10 years Logistics and Supply Chain experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or other
industry equivalent.
· Demonstrated experience leading a collaborative and teamwork-oriented
department.
· Experience with Transportation and Warehouse Management Systems
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desired:
· Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or other relevant area of
study.
· APICS Certification
· Black Belt Lean Six Sigma
· 5 years experience in leading project implementations
· Ability to collect and analyze statistical data, operational/management reports,
including workflows and be able to apply cost benefit analysis techniques to
develop business strategies.
· Inventory management skills
· Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project or equivalent
· Experience with managing employees in a bargaining unit
· Spanish language fluency
