Logistics Director manages all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Being a Logistics Director oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Additionally, Logistics Director ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Logistics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Logistics Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Responsibilities

    As a Logistics Support Analyst with MTSI you will provide support to the US Space Force, Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO-S), in its mission to provide defensive cyber capabilities to the warfighter.  You will provide logistics support to integrate defensive cyber systems into legacy and new space systems, gain support for new and on-going efforts in all phases of the acquisition life cycle and develop and utilize engineering technical services to obtain systems engineering support and processes within DCO-S.  

     

    Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

     

    • Contribute to, or assist in creating as required, relevant Logistics planning and process activities associated with life cycle sustainment of operational capabilities and mission/weapon systems.  Examples include an ILS Working Group (ILSWG) ; ILS Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM) to include agenda, minutes, presentations and action items; contributing to an ILS Spares Provisioning Conference (SPC); and maintaining a Logistics Product Schedule.


    Qualifications

    Required skills/experience:

    • Minimum 1-3 years relevant experience performing security activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support or development Contractor arena.
    • Experience shall include duties or assignments specifically in support of:
      • Logistics relevant to space programs.
    • Familiarity and knowledge of packaging, handling, storage, & transportation (PHS&T) and other Logistics-related Product Support Elements

     

    Education Requirements:  

    • Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university relevant to their area of expertise limited to the following:  Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, and Arts.

    Clearance Requirements:

    • Active Secret clearance.
    • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, (DESIRED).

     

    Clearance:

    • Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.

     

    Location/Travel Requirements:

    • Place of work is Colorado Springs, remote work opportunity is limited. You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.

    The pay range for this position in Colorado is $100,000/year to $125,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
