Job Purpose
The Driver Manager’s core responsibility is to manage the performance of approximately 30 to 50 Company drivers. The Driver Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate execution each driver’s plan to increase driver productivity and drive profitability for the business. The Driver Manager must analyze the route plan and effectively communicate it to the driver, emphasizing time and distance calculations and identifying and educating drivers of USDOT CFR 49 regulations. The Driver Manager will monitor revenue per vehicle and on time performance of KPI’s in order to maintain vehicle profitability and be responsible for handling performance issues, as deeded appropriate by the Driver Manager. The Driver Manager will communicate with his/her fleet of drivers regularly to increase driver engagement and productivity and address personnel matters as they arise.
