Logistics Manager manages all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Being a Logistics Manager oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Additionally, Logistics Manager ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Logistics Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Logistics Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Summary:
    · Logistics Manager supervises the activities of the Warehouse, Material Movement, Transactions, Production Scheduling, Packaging Coordination, and Inventory accuracy to achieve optimal levels of productivity, quality, and safety.
    Essential Functions:
    · Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures and TS requirements.
    · Assure all inventory control procedures are strictly adhered to, including FIFO.
    · Coordinate the movement of all materials to and from all outside warehouses.
    · Assure all incoming product is received from vendors with correct label information.
    · Assure all outgoing finished product is shipped to the customer with the correct requirements.
    · Responsible for timely shipping of product to avoid premium freight costs.
    · Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ie, Quality Manual, Associate Handbook, etc).
    · Perform all other duties as requested by the Materials Manager.
    · Responsible for scheduling production.
    · Responsible for all Hilo drivers.
    · Coordinates maintenance of Hilos.
    · Familiar with operation of customer websites.
    · Perform cycle counts and physical inventory.
    · Manage packaging, including back-up packaging.
    · Responsible for container management, including 092 Clause and SMART system.
    · Backup for Materials Manager
    Qualifications:
    · 5- 7 years of shipping and receiving supervisory experience.
    · High School Diploma, College degree preferred.
    · Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems preferred.
    · Three to five years’ experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse or industry related field is preferred
