Logistics Manager manages all aspects of an organization's logistics management function to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination. Implements an overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Being a Logistics Manager oversees critical and related inventory, distribution, and transportation operations that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction. Selects vendors and negotiates rates and service levels and monitors performance. Additionally, Logistics Manager ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Logistics Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Logistics Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description

    Novo Logistics is seeking a reliable, self-driven, and team-oriented professional with training, problem-solving, communication, and management skills for the quality manager position. This position is within a fast-paced plant environment in Lexington, South Carolina. We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for growth.

    The Quality Manager is responsible for validating the quality processes, maintaining and improving operational quality,
    investigating customer and partner complaints, and establishing the overall quality process in the plant operation. The
    Quality Manager must be able to understand core business service objectives, and processes, and provide support for the
    operations team through analytical tools and analysis.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain and ensure compliance with safety procedures and expectations.
    • Lead Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
    • Maintains and improves quality by completing company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits;
      investigating customer and partner complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new
      procedures and designs, and training methods.
    • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
       including failed processes, stability studies, corrective actions, and re-validations.
    • Develop, implement and maintain quality standards, methods, instructions, and quality planning on the assigned
       program(s); perform surveys, internal audits, and process audits.
    • Implement and improve quality control operating procedures.
    • Ensures deliverables are met as defined in order to achieve success.
    • Challenge "business as usual" using a fact-based, objective mindset.
    • Develop strong working relationships with internal staff to ensure effective communication with all related
      functional areas.
    • Perform other requests and duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or upper-level management.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications (specifically, Excel and PowerPoint).
    • Skill in typing and general computer literacy.
    • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to see the overall picture.
    • Ability to solve problems and adapt to situations requiring solutions to unforeseen circumstances.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with members of management, coworkers, customers, partners, and other
       visitors.

    • Ability to multitask in stressful and fast-paced environments.
    • Ability to create easily understood procedures to ensure quality control.
    • Ability to communicate and train employees on the proper quality procedures.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION

    • Previous quality experience of two (2) or more years in a similar role is required.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant work experience.
    • Plant experience preferred.
    • ISO 9000 Certification or Six Sigma, preferred.
    • Knowledge of Quality Control procedures and relevant legal standards.

    Applicants Must

    • Have reliable transportation.
    • Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
    • Be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
    • Be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Varied working conditions between controlled and uncontrolled environments. Excessive walking and standing;
    heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with
    moving parts; workaround moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; exposure to slippery and uneven
    surfaces. Use of personal protective equipment is required.
