Sprinkler Inspection Service Manager

In this role, you will lead a team of sprinkler inspection technicians who are trusted to handle our client’s fire protection needs across a broad range of commercial and industrial enterprises. This would be a great fit if your career goals are to leverage your field-based fire sprinkler system inspection experience, your leadership skills and your commitment to a strong attention to detail.

    Specifically, you will:


    • Support the inspection technicians in their day-to-day activities so they can provide their clients with excellent service.


    • Develop the team’s technical abilities, especially creating a path for all technicians to become NICET certified.

    • Ensure the team is cross trained to provide both career development and comprehensive client coverage.

    • Support and guide technicians to reach their monthly inspections and service processes goals.

    • Ensure administration of data and documentation is correctly and accurately transmitted internally and externally including approving and submitting payroll, approving time off requests, etc.

    • Manage staff and the initiation of inspections and commodities.

    • Communicate, train and ensure the team adheres to all applicable codes, NFPA standards, safety requirements, rules and regulations of inspections, as well as company policies and best business practices.

    • Travel approximately (generally expected to be around 10%) to complete inspection projects, engaging with the community’s fire marshals and our customers as needed

    • Manage service escalations.


    We seek the following education, skills and experiences:


    • High school diploma or equivalent


    • 5 years of experience working in the fire sprinkler inspections field.

    • 3 years supervisory experience in the field of sprinkler inspections preferred

    • NICET II certification required, but NICET III certification is strongly preferred

    • Track record of strong, creative, communicative and presentation skills.

    • Demonstrated experience setting and achieving goals for a team,

    • Strong problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment and engineering creative solutions

    • Strong attention to detail, especially related to administrative, time management and analytical skills

    • Ability to travel overnight as needed (travel will be a bit heavier initially during onboarding at around 20%, but then on an ongoing basis, travel is expected to be about 10%)
