Point Ready Mix is growing and seeks an additional quality control technician to join our QC management team. This position will test and manage concrete quality while promoting products, concrete knowledge and Company image to customers by performing the following duties.
Job Duties:
- Performs ongoing ACI & ASTM concrete and raw materials testing. Makes necessary concrete mix adjustments, ensuring compliance with project specifications and customer expectations.
- Visits job sites, attends pre-pour meetings and promotes value-added products to customers.
- Evaluates existing quality or productions standards and procedures, recommends modifications and leads their implementation.
- Troubleshoots customer field issues, gathering necessary information for determination of root causes. Compiles quality incident information and works with quality control team on resolution.
- Promotes plant and job site safety.
- Accurately manage product details through computer application

Work Environment:
Works in a fast-paced environment with a need to respond to ever changing scenarios. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Training will be provided and paid.
Location:
Daily commuting in a company vehicle between our locations in Northern Illinois and Southeast Wisconsin. Early morning starts are typical to coincide with a general construction schedule. Staff will be home each night with rare off-site travel for training, education, etc.
