Machine Feeder and Offbearer jobs in Sioux Falls, SD

Tend to one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metal work pieces to specifications on production basis.

Competencies:

• Able to apply common sense understanding to basic work processes.   Capable of carrying out detailed written, oral or diagrammed instructions.  Can deal with problems involving a few concrete and routine job specific variables;
• Demonstrates a working understanding of shop math:  practical application of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, practical algebra, geometric construction, and essentials of trigonometry;
• Able to read and interpret sketches and prints;
• Measures components and assemblies to verify conformance to the print (tape measure, scale, caliper);

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and whole body movement, such as lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stooping, and handling of materials. The duties of this job require the employee to use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
