Press Feeder Operator/Cutter

(2nd Pressman)

FSLA Classification: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cut material for press and stage at machine
• Mix ink when required
• Build lift and operate feeder
• Run press when 1st pressman is off
• Keep supplies stocked at presses (rags, chemicals, etc…)
• Assist 1st pressman as needed
• Assist in maintenance and cleanup of the machines
• Fill in as 1st pressman during staffing shortages (vacations, call-offs, etc…)
• Keep work areas and press clean
• Bring plates from Victor East when necessary – minimize downtime
• Report production issues to supervisor

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Previous pressroom experience preferred

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to learn and apply all press functions

REPORTS TO:

Head Pressman and Plant Production Manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Lift 50 Lbs
• Regularly exposed to dust, odors, and noise
• Subject to random drug testing

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
