Settlers Bay Lodge is looking for a motivated, hardworking and positive individual to join our team. Must be fast on their feet and possess the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations. As a dishwasher, you can expect to work closely with all other staff members to ensure a positive dining experience for our guests. Note that this role requires working in shifts during evenings or weekends. Opportunity for advancement to other kitchen positions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dishwashing machine
• Wash specific items by hand
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents)
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Remove garbage regularly
• Sanitize the kitchen area
• Light janitorial duties including sweeping/mopping restaurant and kitchen areas and cleaning restrooms.
• Occasionally aid prep cooks with various tasks
• Skills
• Work experience as a Dishwasher preferred
• Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
• Time management skills
• Attention to detail and sanitation rules
• Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: staring $10.85 per hour based on experience and performance
