Job Title: Machine Operator | Shift: 12am | Pay Rate: $20.25/hr

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor the Incumbent is responsible for operating production machinery in a safe and efficient manner that will result in quality product for the customer.

Required Qualifications

• Food industry experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Machine Operator preferred

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions Ability to understand work processes, methods and use of equipment Properly identify materials and equipment

Responsibilities

• Practice "Safety First" at all times. Coach, teach, train employees as needed. Review Daily:
• O Products to be packaged o Review Work Orders
• Prepare paperwork Review and discuss any mechanical problems
• Determine any variations in production
• Coordinate with the Quality Control Department
• Set Up Machine Check product versus Work order Verify all components
• Verify code date Complete a pre-operational check and complete the appropriate paperwork Ensure machines are set to maximum production with the least amount of damaged product or rework Start machine on time
• Perform First Article Testing with QC Check all parameters of Work Order to ensure package meets specifications
• Monitor production to ensure specifications are maintained Monitor, train and motivate employees
• Ensure safety is always practiced Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure product is delivered to prevent down time
• Report any mechanical problems to supervisor
• Ensure labels from product are attached to production paperwork
• Ensure all product is used with as little waste as possible
• Ensure machine runs at maximum speed: If less than maximum notify supervisor
• Record reasons on machine paperwork
• Record all change overs on appropriate form and document any issues If packaging temperature sensitive items, ensure the product stays in the production room the least amount of time possible
