JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for the fabrication of parts or components.
LEVEL OF AUTHORITY
This position performs routine duties independently in accordance with established policies and procedures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an industrial environment that is heated but not air-conditioned. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Programs, sets up, and operates the Press Brake.

Pull material for work orders that will be bent on the Press Brake.

Enter the program into Press Brake and run appropriately.

Enter quantities in the computer for production of product.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CAPABILITIES

Technical

Prior experience operating a Press Brake.

Ability to complete in house forklift training.

Prior experience working with lifting equipment.

Ability to use tape measure and other measuring devices accurately.

Mathematical skills necessary to perform essential calculations.
Physical
-
Ability to frequently lift, carry, bend, stoop and/or reach. Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.

Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment functional capacity test.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
-
Finger, hand, and wrist dexterity sufficient to manipulate hand tools, and powered equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Ability to bring or acquire a basic tool set within the first 90 days of employment (Basic tool list is available upon request and a tool program is available to help offset cost).

Attention to detail and accuracy.
USE OF TOOLS, MACHINARY, AND EQUIPMENT:

Ability to use all types of powered tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, grinders, saws, air chisel, and lifting equipment.

Standard use of office equipment: tablet, computer, copier.
