Machine Operator Trainee, $20.00 / hr. - 1st Shift & 2nd Shift - Huger, SC

Responsibilities :

• Inspect arbor and overarm setups to ensure compliance with production instructions
• Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil
• Review and record gauge, width, hardness, camber, burr, and surface condition and ensure compliance with production instructions
• Operate the multi-blanking machine to slit-to-wide and cut-to-length based on customer specifications

Skills :

• Ability to perform complete setup and operational tasks of the machine to ensure compliance with customer specifications
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to accurately use tape measures, Rockwell tester, digital calipers, digital / dial indicators, height gauge, computer, part specific gauges, and micrometers
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control X bar and R Charts, individual moving range charts, basic distribution analysis
• Once the trainee is fully trained on the machine there will be a $2.00 raise.

As a Machine Operator your main responsibility is to set up and operate the machine according to customer specifications and work orders.

Your detail, safety, and attentiveness are critical to regular equipment inspection and the ability to measure dimensions, align parts and produce material according to production instructions.
