    Operate machine tools, special-purpose machines, and robots to fabricate metal workpieces according to specifications in a production setting. Perform inspections, maintain equipment, and adhere to safety and quality standards. This is a 3rd shift position.



    Key Responsibilities:

    • Read blueprints and job orders to determine machining requirements and sequence of operations.
    • Set up and secure tools in machine holders.
    • Identify and separate non-conforming parts.
    • Meet or exceed production standards.
    • Perform inspections using measuring instruments.
    • Maintain equipment and keep it in good condition.
    • Perform secondary operations as needed.
    • Count and pack finished parts.
    • Enter data into computer systems.
    • Practice good work habits and follow safety guidelines.
    • Set up and operate numerical control machines.
    • Load materials and control media.
    • Manipulate machine controls and adjust as necessary.
    • Replace worn machine accessories and add coolant.
    • Weld components as required, including tack welding and monitoring quality.
    • Assemble parts within specified tolerances and verify dimensions.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED preferred ( or be atleast 17 years old currently enrolled in career center)
    • Three to six months of relevant experience and/or training preferred.

    Competencies:

    • Ability to follow instructions and solve basic problems.
    • Proficiency in shop math.
    • Read and interpret sketches and prints.
    • Organizational skills for efficient task management.

    • Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
    • Physical activities involving arms, legs, and whole-body movement.
    • Use of control mechanisms and physical activity to operate machines.
