Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Supervises the maintenance and repair of pumps, grinders, mixers, and a variety of other machines. Being a Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Position Overview -
Handle all of the outsourcing and shipping/receiving of parts. Shipping and Receiving worker needs to handle and label all incoming material and outgoing materials and ship them to the correct vendors. Must know when parts are due to vendors and customers. S&R employee needs to know how to look at a prints and determine if each part has the correct paperwork with it and is labeled correctly. Critical thinking is a must.
Essential Job Functions
· Daily pickups at machine shops and material vendor locations as needed.
· Package parts to get shipped to the correct customer or vendor
· Make labels for all parts
· Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
· Loads and unloads shipments both manually or with equipment such as forklifts
· Checks for damaged goods along with verifying the quantity and quality of order
· Verifies items received with purchase order and/or travelers
· Send emails and phone calls notifying customers that their parts are ready.
· Talk to machinists to see when parts will be finished and plan deliveries to customers accordingly for the day.
Non-essential Job Functions -
· Run errands to pick up tools and office supplies
· Filing papers when needed
· Must be very versatile to be able to handle the fast-paced environment
Requirements
· Minimum of a high school education
· Must be able to lift 40lbs
· Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
· Use of company vehicle to make deliveries and receive pick-ups from vendors and customers.
· Required to read and write English, follow verbal and written instructions and use simple math.
· Must have great communication and people skills
Hours are M-TH 7am-4pm Friday 8am-12pm
