Joseph Machine Company, located in Dillsburg, PA, is seeking a candidate to join the machine shop team. JMC is a growing OEM of highly automated equipment; to increase our portfolio beyond custom machinery we are developing new products to diversify our company sales footprint.

Job Description:

Operates company vehicle. Loads and unloads materials and equipment between various destinations as assigned. Provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods. May be responsible for vehicle maintenance and presentation. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines and procedures to perform the functions of the job. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Willingness to operate manual mills, various saws other shop equipment to cut material to the proper length and fabricate parts to CAD prints within tolerances described by the engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain general shop safety and cleanliness.
• Deliver / retrieve parts from local outside processing shops.
• Operating mills and various types of saws.
• Checking in Material as it arrives on site.
• Delivering finished parts to the parts room.
• General maintenance tasks.
• Performing simple vehicle maintenance (i.e. cleaning interior/exterior, taking vehicles for state inspections, filling tires with air, etc.)
• Informing supervisor of any vehicle problems.
• All responsibilities pertaining to the shipping of machines; packing, building wooden crates, loading/unloading, inventory of supplies required.
• Any other work-related duties assigned by the Supervisor of Production Services.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Operate forklift.
• Must have a “satisfactory” driving record.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Heavy lifting of packages and other equipment.
• Ability to be utilized in other areas.
• Ability to work independently and still function as a team player.
