Machine Shop Manager

• 
  Supervise all machine shop operations, such as machining & processing
• Plan, schedule, & coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders & deliver manufactured products
• Train & mentor new hires, providing feedback and ongoing support
• Collaborate with management to enforce company policies & business objectives
• Establish effective and efficient workflow for manufacturing activities
• Resolve manufacturing and maintenance problems
• Work full-time hours, Monday thru Friday, from 6 AM to 4 PM
• Enjoy a relaxed working environment

We are looking for a Machine Shop Manager who will manage the overall operations of the Machine Shop. They will be responsible for meeting manufacturing deadlines as well as communicating business goals & processes for the Machine Shop department. We are a self-efficient, family-owned manufacturing company dedicated to staying on the cutting edge of advanced technology.

Our Ideal Machine Shop Manager:

• Experience: 4 years working in a machine shop and 5 years in a leadership role
• Knowledgeable: can read and interpret blueprints; complete knowledge of production scheduling & department operations.
• Clear Communicator: must have the ability to communicate clearly and provide support to your direct reports and collaborate with other departments and managers.
• Dependable: Must be reliable and on time for work each day.
• Team Player: Enjoy being part of a team atmosphere.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are needed; some Excel & Sage experience is helpful. Training is provided.
• Active: able to lift up to 80 lbs., bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
