Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor jobs in Lorain, OH
Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Supervises the maintenance and repair of pumps, grinders, mixers, and a variety of other machines. Being a Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Associate Degree/BS in Graphics Arts, Business, Industrial Management or related field preferred. Education requirements may be substituted for 5-7 years experienced gained through training and experience in all phases of maintenance, both electrical and mechanical. Project management experience. Must be able to identify and understand issues, problems, opportunities and make key decisions.. Experience using appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques to motivate employees and gain acceptance of ideas or plans. Must be able to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment. Must be organized and have the ability to plan, prioritize and follow through to complete assigned maintenance projects in a cost effective manner. Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Must be flexible to cover shifts when needed.
