Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor jobs in Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Perform general equipment maintenance, repairs, and scheduling PMs to minimize downtime.
• Fix machines in adequate time to maintain production from shutting down.
• Maintain organized work area by cleaning & removing hazards.
• Able to work on CNC milling & lathe machines, also drill presses, grinder, other machinery.
• Quick learner on newly skills & be able to apply them to daily task.
• Able to work with electrical components from 480 to 110 VAC.
• Able to work on different types of machines (Brown Sharpes, Davenports, Eurotech, Wickman, Miyano, Moriseiki, Nakamura, Citizen, Tsugami, Brothers, HAAS,)
• Perform maintenance, diagnosis, repair, installation and upkeep of mechanical equipment.
• Able to work between two building.
• Building management / up keeping.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must have five years' experience as a qualified industrial machinist, in addition to a minimum of two years of apprentice training from an accredited institution.
• Must have a complete knowledge and understanding of machine shop theory and practice, as well as basic machine and/or tool design.
• Must be able to read and understand parts, instruction manuals, and machine blueprints.
• Must be able to fabricate and machine parts ranging from simple sketches to detailed machine blueprints (must be able to detail )
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle pressure and demonstrate flexibility.
• Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and take initiative on specific issues.
• Ability to prioritize handling of situations.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Responsible for design, fabrication, and repair of machinery and equipment.
• Responsible for accurate estimation of time and material necessary for work, as well as accurate recordkeeping.
• · Exercise professionalism in dealing with all situations.
• Maintain the confidentiality of Company information.
• Able to deal with more complex problems involving some abstract thinking, though may require supervision.
• Requires little direction when solving simple problems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.09 per hour
