Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Supervises the maintenance and repair of pumps, grinders, mixers, and a variety of other machines. Being a Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. POSITION SUMMARY
This position will manage, plan, organize, lead and direct maintenance personnel and systems to optimize equipment effectiveness, ensure plant safety and maintain plant facilities.
This position will ensure that maintenance personnel execute procedures, processes, work instructions, etc. in the manner prescribed while operating in a team-based environment.
Supervises maintenance department employees.
