Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor jobs in Providence, RI

Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Supervises the maintenance and repair of pumps, grinders, mixers, and a variety of other machines. Being a Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     • Utilize prints, drawings, written work orders, and standard operating procedures
    • Ensure accuracy by following written work instructions to
    • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules


    Requirements of Machine Shop Operator: 
    • 3 years of machine shop environment or manufacturing machine experience required.
    • Bridgeport, Kickpress, Furnace, Tubbing, and/or Blasting experience preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Highly motivated and able to meet goals
    • Ability to work independently
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Great attention to detail
    • Microscope experience, understanding of tolerances and measurement tools.


    Hours: 6:00 am-4:30 pm Monday-Thursday 
    Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00/hr
