Blaine Brothers is a family-owned Minnesota based company with an opening for a Working Shop Foreman at our Clearwater, MN location. This position will handle the day-to-day supervision of shift operations and technicians and the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trucks and trailers.  We are looking for someone detail oriented, strong mechanical aptitude, and a strong work ethic.  

SCHEDULE: 3rd Shift, Sunday- Thursday, 10pm-6am

The essential duties include:· 

• Provide leadership and direction to the technicians
• Evaluate technician’s skillset and provide training as needed
• Assist technicians in locating parts / job related issues
• Related activities that promote the goals of the Organization
• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
• Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
• Expectations; Maintain 50% efficiency of billable hours in the shop 

Requirements

• Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
• Welding experience a plus
• Basic tool set and toolbox to start (assistance programs available)
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
• Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient, and friendly work environment.  
• Repair and shop operation knowledge with a strong technical aptitude

• Ability to train technicians at varying levels of experience, skillset and learning styles

• Strong computer skills – knowledge of Karmak, a plus
