Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Supervises the maintenance and repair of pumps, grinders, mixers, and a variety of other machines. Being a Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor oversees the setup and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow instructions and work effectively.
- Knowledge and experience in welding is required.
- Keep work areas clean and clear of debris.
- Use measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
- Load and unload materials by hand.
- Perform other various types of manual labor.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Operate a forklift (training provided)
