Machine Shop Maintenance Supervisor jobs in Stockton, CA

About this role:
We are looking for a supervisor that has experience directing a machine shop to achieve the efficient use of labor and maintain production. The supervisor directs our machinists daily assignments and explains procedures and answers questions they may have. Our supervisors help with vacation scheduling, and time and attendance accuracy and discipline. They work with the production teams to ensure that schedules and quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Directs machinists including daily assignments, meetings, discipline, training, vacation scheduling, and time and attendance system accuracy.
• Working with PM’s and ME’s and Production Coordinators to ensure that production schedules and quality standards are maintained.
• Ordering tools and maintaining inventory of drill and router bits.
• Assigns tasks and explains procedures to machinists.
• Identify resources needed to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Responsible for work area safety issues and housekeeping.
• Maximizes labor efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years supervising a CNC machine shop
• Minimum of an additional 5 years running CNC machines
• Ability to use MTE equipment
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures in manufacturing (preferred)
• Computer (excel and word) and communication skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Machining certificate preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
