Machine Shop Production Supervisor jobs in Albuquerque, NM

Do you have Bandsaw, and or Plasma Cutting experience?

You will perform the tasks of cutting and forming parts for products, which included mobile water tanks, trailers, dump bodies, stationary structures, and piece work.

$17-18 depending on experience

Hours: 7am-3pm and maybe some Saturdays

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Operates metal plate shearing by placing metal plate onto feed area of plate shear machine either manually or by using assisting device, such as an overhead crane.

2. Layout and label cut dimensions based on the drawing requirements.

3. Material is fed into the cut area of shear when properly aligned cutting is triggered by foot pedal control.

4. Cut pieces are then moved out of shear areas manually or by crane.

5. Operates flame torch or plasma cutting machine by first using a sketch or engineering drawing laying out the cutting dimensions on a plate.

6. Operates band saw.

7. Operates a hole-punch; the hole locations are laid out manually and marked with a hammer and center punch on material according to specified dimensions.

8. Operates press brake after specified bending dimensions are laid out on material according to drawings.

9. Operates plate roller after specified dimensions are laid out on the material.

10. Some SMAW (stick) welding is required to splice plates together for rolling and other miscellaneous applications.

11. Operates angle shear.
