Description
The Sawmill Production Machine Operator is responsible for running, monitoring, and controlling lumber mill equipment to produce finished lumber. This individual is required to work either an 8- or 10-hour shift, beginning at 7:00 am, and mandatory overtime is required when assigned. In the future, shifts could transform into a rotating schedule of 4-days-on, 4-days-off with 12-hour shifts from 6:00 am-6:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Safety is of the utmost importance for this position, as this position is required to work with machinery, as well as on elevated levels and in confined spaces.

Ability to perform heavy physical labor. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. The noise level in the work environment is usually high level.
The overall nature of the position is extremely active requiring heavy physical exertion. There is constant exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, inclement weather, and temperature changes ranging from -20°F to 120°F.
