Machine Shop Production Supervisor oversees personnel in charge of operating machines that perform a variety of processing operations. Supervises assembly operations such as filing, aligning, fitting, and scraping of parts to ensure established requirements and standards are met. Being a Machine Shop Production Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Pay Range $17-$20/ hour
Primary responsibilities:
- Operates forklifts, hand trucks and other light hand power equipment, including a floor scrubber
- Manage metal chips/ solids for recycling
- Manage coolant
- Packaging/ un-packaging parts
- Receive raw material from vendors
- Enter basic information into our MRP system
- Various tasks assigned by the shop manager.
- Training provided as necessary
Skills and Abilities required:
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to read, write and count with 100% accuracy
- Forklift Operation
Full Time position: Weekdays - Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
