Machine Shop Production Supervisor jobs in Lebanon, PA

Pay Range: 93k - 120k, depending on experience.

Responsible for East Tooling machine shop and East machinery production, ensuring projects are completed in accordance with schedules. Lead and assist the machine shop team by setting scheduling priorities, problem solving and providing technical advice. Set machine assembly schedules by evaluating component lead times and internal customer demand requirements. Evaluate external component supplier quotes to determine make vs. buy based on current work demand. Report on departmental and project progress, as well as provide project and budgetary recommendations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Responsible for leading eastern tooling machine shop, machine assembly group, and component sourcing
• Assign tasks to machinists and machine assemblers, provide guidance on project priority
• Lead MRP software implementation for machinery production
• Propose project budgetary requirements for machine shop tooling and improvements
• Make manufacturability recommendations of machine 3D concepts/designs
• Ability to review detailed drawings/documents to determine best way to manufacture/source
• Recommend machine shop/assembly capability improvements
• Responsible for machine shop equipment maintenance planning
• Assist in evaluating designs to maximize machine safety, manufacturability, and durability
• Work with team members to continuously improve machine manufacturability
• Provide support and planning for MIWD manufacturing facilities related to machinery delivery
• Support manufacturing with replacement parts and components
• Prioritize workload to ensure that deliverables are completed in timelines that meet customer expectations
• Maintain an individual project schedule to maximize task efficiency, prioritization, and communication
• Adhere to existing and assist in continuous improvement department standards

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Education and Experience Options:
  • Associate degree in Machining, Engineering, or related field required
  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) preferred
  • 5 years in a Management role
• Previous experience in Machine shop and/or Machinery production preferred
• MRP software utilization/implementation experience preferred
• Engineering Part/Assembly document reading including GD&T required
• Proficient using 3D computer aided drafting/design software, Solidworks 3D experience preferred
• Fluent in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Practical knowledge of process improvement tools: Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Five S, etc.
• Strong mechanical analysis, problem-solving, concept modeling, and mathematical skills.
• Strong passion, high energy, and enthusiasm for growth
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and ability to set priorities for multiple tasks.
• Ability to effectively communicate in written or verbal manner with individuals from all areas of the organization.
• Ability to work in a production environment, if required.
• Ability to work flexible hours and/or travel depending on the needs of the department and/or business
