Machine Shop Production Supervisor jobs in Lorain, OH

The Production Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production.

Oversees the guidance of material into rollers and throughout the machine until it is wound into a rolled product.

Monitors material thickness to conform to specifications.

Adjusts temperature and width of material throughout rollers to produce according to tolerances.

Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or nonconforming material.

Inspects and operates equipment to ensure proper setup and alignment as needed for efficient operation.

Observes work and monitors instruments, gauges, or other indicators to ensure that product conform to production process standards and control plans.

Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records or reports to determine production requirements and conformance to customer needs and standards.

Confers with other associates to coordinate efficient operation and performance results.

Works effectively with other operators and fills in during vacation, absence or unavailability.

Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine and understands production procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week
