Responsibilities :

Production Fabricator

Assemble a variety of components and subassemblies where operations involve various mechanical and cable installation and connections using basic hand tools.

Shape and attach brackets, connectors, spacers, terminals and other components to various parts

• Bond components through the mixing of adhesives and various components to prescribed ratios using scales and recording cure times
• Apply touch up paints and coatings for further applications where cosmetic finishes have been marred or damaged
• Perform various pop and solid riveting operations
• Perform final build operations using previously built sub-assemblies
• Utilize various hand tools, small power tools, pneumatic grinders, drills and trim saws, drill press, arbor press, rivet guns and calibrated torque tools
• Fabricate composite random parts using techniques that involve waxing of molds, Gel-coat spray up applications and wet lay up of fiberglass cloth
• Operate lath and milling machine for non-complex part modification and fabrication
• Check and measure parts for cleanliness, fit, dimensional requirements and imperfections using eye loops, gauges, dial indicators, vernier’s and micrometers
• Perform other tasks as assigned
