Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Shop Lead to oversee our shop operations. The ideal candidate will be hands on and have structural steel fabrication, miscellaneous and architectural metals experience. You will confirm the accuracy of fabricated projects according to drawing details and assign the best employee for each aspect of the project. As a Shop Lead, you will be responsible for managing the schedule and employees in the shop, and that projects are completed on time and within budget. Our work is varied and custom. Each project is different and attention to detail to provide exceptional work to our clients is our mission.
Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate projects and employees
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Co-ordinate and schedule material intake for projects
- Oversee project timelines and milestones
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and team members
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dealing with employees
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and techniques
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting schematics
- welding and fabrication experience in this discipline
- Familiarity with budgeting and contract management
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
