The Machine Shop Supervisor is a working supervisor role who will be responsible for setting and managing daily priorities and productivity within our machine shop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of productivity and adherence to quality standards
• Sets up and operates machines and equipment
• Provides training to machinists
• Supervises movement of materials through the shop
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations to schedule and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion of jobs
• Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure machines are properly maintained and serviced
• Maintains operation within established standards and checks production
• Analyze and resolve work issues or assists workers to solve issues
• Initiates plans to motivate team and achieve work goals

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to operate and set up CNC machines
• Advanced Manufacturing Machine Technology Certificate preferred
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a machine shop or manufacturing
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
