Machine Shop Production Supervisor jobs in Stockton, CA

Seeking an experienced Production Supervisor or a direct hire opportunity with our client in Ione, CA.

This position offers full benefits on the first day of employment, 3 weeks paid vacation and 12 holidays!

Annual salary is $90,000.

This is a full-time permanent position (11pm-7am) that will supervise the work of others and provide coaching, resolve issues, and serve as a link between subordinates and upper management. 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety, quality, production, and housekeeping standards are met at all times
• Conduct contractor safety inspections
• Clearly understand and execute Emergency Management Plan if needed
• Lead and manage assigned production personnel to safely meet/exceed all manufacturing goals
• Develop and improve assigned production personnel skills in preparation for future career opportunities
• Know and understand all product specifications
• Clearly understand the process and equipment locations
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and correct the root causes of events
• Accurately and timely prepare required reports and maintain accurate data and other records as required
• Schedule/plan manpower and production schedules
• Effectively communicate maintenance needs to subordinates/team members and ensure follow up to confirm maintenance was performed effectively
• Notification of downtime to management with clear/detailed explanation of issues as required
• Write clearly defined work orders and develop SOP’s for department
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings using Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement and problem solving techniques where applicable
• Articulate and document site goals and objectives. Perform employee reviews with coaching and disciplinary action where needed
• Provide training to direct reports for safety, SOP’s, plant equipment, and the Coloring Process

Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Graduate/GED Equivalent, College Degree and/or Trade Certification preferred
• Minimum of three years supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing work environment
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems in a manufacturing operation
