Position Title: Tool Maker

NSI Industries is a leading supplier of stock-and-flow electrical products to the commercial and industrial market in North America. We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join us with continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities:

• Must be able to construct or make major alterations or repairs to tools, jigs, fixtures, punches, dies, molds, and gauges.
• Layout and perform all bench and required machine operations. Build complicated dies.
• Direct and instruct apprentices, tool makers, and tool and die makers.
• Must read blueprints, make own sketches, and be able to work from verbal instructions.
• Able to troubleshoot with little or no supervisory instruction.
   

Qualifications:

• Tool building and heat- treating knowledge.

Education & Experience:

• Technical School graduate
• 3-5 years' experience a plus
   

Environment:

100% performed in plant facilities with extensive noise and machinery running

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
