    JOB DESCRIPTION for:

    Rework Technician

    Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm (Flexible)

    Pay Scale: $17.00-$20.00 per hour DOE

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Experience with Microsoft office applications.
    • Position requires strong attention to detail and compliance with industry, environmental, health and safety standards.
    • Be able to speak, read and write in English.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes, and principles.
    • 1-2 years’ experience within the Aviation/ Aerospace, Auto body, Paint, Composite, Fiberglass, or Marine industries.
    • Prior experience in using paint guns & airbrushes.
    • Experience reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work closely with quality personnel to identify and rework product non-conformances before stocking and selling to the customer.
    • Rework/finish product in accordance with all necessary requirements. This includes but is not limited to paint removal, surface preparation, deburr, filing, application and removal of masking, paint application, part marking, final cleaning etc.
    • Work with PSAs (paints, solvents, and adhesives) using proper PPE (personal protective equipment) as necessary.
    • Work with Supervisor to manage department supplies and perform PSA audits monthly at minimum.
    • Monitor rework that is being performed and help in identification and development of solutions to improve product handling and manufacturing to minimize potential rework.
    • Properly fill out all necessary documentation to meet necessary requirements as necessary.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a plant environment to include moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives. Safety Glasses must be worn in all required areas. Safety Toe (Steel or Kevlar) shoes or boots must be worn at all times, while working in the manufacturing areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, ear protection is provided if needed.
