Clinton Machine is looking for the right candidate to be a significant leader in the future success of the company’s sales growth objectives. Holding a Key position in the company, you will be responsible for assisting in developing a long-term strategic direction and sales plan to increase annual sales volumes, expand market penetration, and increase profitability objectives. This role also will include developing and working with regional sales managers to exploit greater market opportunities, and creating KPI metrics to track performance goals and the success of meeting growth objectives.
In this position you will work closely with top level management to develop and carry out your plan, and the freedom to develop a strong sales team network. Your internal responsibilities will include working with the company’s Engineering, Estimating & Proposal Departments to collaborate on addressing customer requests, and directing the efforts needed to provide responsive solutions. This position requires traveling across North America to the extent necessary in developing key new customers and promoting the company’s automation capabilities in the marketplace.
General Job Description:
· Develop & implement long-term strategic sales plans to grow the company and profitability.
· Expand customer base to align company product & equipment knowledge with new manufacturers.
· Identify key markets for expansion, based Company’s current lines of automated equipment.
· Assess time & money risks vs. rewards associated with pursuing new business opportunities.
· Develop & manage a sales team in strategic locations; including setting sales goals, and collaborating with
account managers to achieve overall company objectives.
· Establish strong KPI performance metrics to measure progress against goals.
· Prepare monthly sales status reports and annual sales forecasts to upper management.
· Build and maintain strong business relationships across all levels of customer organizations. (i.e. you’re the guy
everyone knows, and calls first…) Need ability to work with, and sell to, individuals at the engineering level, as
well as senior level management.
· Possess the ability to be a key problem-solver who fosters an atmosphere of reliability, trust, provider of solutions,
known for technical competence, integrity, and a commitment to helping customers; all key essentials for building
strong relationships.
· Undertake skilled contract negotiations working on behalf the company’s strategic sales goals, and profitability;
but providing a “win-win” attitude for both parties at the end.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in engineering, business or similar, technical discipline
Experience: Five (5) to seven (7) years of diversified, hands-on technical sales experience within a technical equipment or component manufacturing company, ideally in automation. Three to five years of managing a sales staff or key account management.
