The Tool Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the machinery and tools used in packaging processes within our manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring that packaging operations run smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and product waste.
This position is being offered on the following shift:
3rd Shift - 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
- Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair issues with packaging equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that packaging machines are calibrated correctly to maintain the quality and consistency of packaging materials and products.
- Ensure that all packaging machinery adheres to safety regulations and protocols to protect workers and prevent accidents.
- Quickly identify and address operational issues that may arise during packaging processes to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to track maintenance schedules and identify areas for improvement.
- Operates forklifts to load/unload materials.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years of prior production experience in a manufacturing setting
- Able to operate a forklift and lift up to 50 pounds
- Computer literate
- Able to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
