ITL Solutions is looking for a new member to join our team who is capable of providing part time machining operational and advisory support.

ITL Solutions is a fast-growing ISO 9001:2015 certified Defense Contractor who supports our customers in the Maritime and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) sectors. We are looking for a motivated individual to support operations and engineering and system development for our US Military and Federal Government Customers. The Machinist will work closely with Engineers, Technicians, Fabricators, and Subcontractors to reverse engineer, design, fabricate, machine, and assemble components and systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Provide advisory support and training on basic manual and CNC machining processes.
• Operate vertical milling machines and lathes to produce parts in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the optimal process, tools, and materials needed to achieve the required tolerances and finishes.
• Perform setup and calibration of machines for specific jobs, ensuring that all tools and fixtures are available and in good condition.
• Inspect and measure finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure they meet AS9100 quality standards and customer specifications.
• Adjust machine settings and tool paths as needed to compensate for any discrepancies or to improve the efficiency of the machining process.
• Maintain clean and safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Document production and inspection results by completing reports and logs, and inputting data into quality databases.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve any issues related to product specifications or quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes and product quality.
• Fast learner with excellent communication skills.
• Background and reference checks will be conducted. Ethics is part of annual performance appraisals.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing principles such as casting, forging, thermoforming, injection molding and additive manufacturing.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality management standards and their application in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work with precision tools.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• A Valid Drivers’ license.
• Ability to gain access to and drive aboard Federal Government /Military Installations.
