Machinist assembles, repairs, and fabricates parts or components for tools or machines by operating mechanical equipment. Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to determine the precise specifications, dimensions, and tolerance levels of the finished product. Being a Machinist selects and operates the appropriate tools to cut, shape, or finish metal, plastic, or composite material. Sets up, services, and maintains equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation. Additionally, Machinist utilizes precision measuring instruments to check the accuracy and quality of machined parts. Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units as necessary. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Machinist works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Here's what you'd do:
- Work primarily on manual machining production functions to meet department scheduling requirements.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance for machining equipment
- Time management as well as any last minute job requirements to meet customer needs
- Maintain and control lean environment and workplace organization
- Other duties as needed
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $24.59 - $30.13/hr.
Hours: 40hr/week/1st Shift 8AM-5PM
Length: Temporary

- Minimum of 3 years experience as Machinist

- Ability and willingness to learn specific processes related to metal finishing.
- Comfortable working with plating chemicals and the ability to adhere to proper handling techniques.
