    About This Job

    Duties and Responsibilities

    USPS Contract Mail Carriers deliver mail to homes and businesses in rural areas across the nation. Our Carriers travel on planned routes, deliver mail and parcels, obtain signatures, and collect outgoing mail along the way. Delivery occurs regardless of the weather, although schedules may be delayed.

    Other responsibilities include: sorting mail in delivery sequence for active mailboxes, loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle, delivering mail to customer boxes along assigned line-of-travel and other administrative duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • At least 18 years of age
    • Able to lift 70 lbs
    • Able to work in all weather conditions
    • Driver's License
    • Must have two full years of driving history with a good driving record
    • Must be able to pass a background check (No felonies within the past 10 years)
    • Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug test
    • Reliable SUV or larger vehicle (See Minimum Vehicle Requirements below)
    • Experience preferred

    Minimum Vehicle and Insurance Requirements

    The U.S.P.S. imposes certain requirements for vehicles on contract routes. Here they are:

    • A dependable vehicle providing 120 cubic feet of usable load space. Think mid-sized SUV or minivan.
      All-wheel-drive or 4-wheel-drive is preferred. Can be of any age as long as it is in good physical and mechanical condition.
    • $100,000 / $500,000 / $100,000 or $600,000 (CSL) of liability insurance.
    • Zetrick LLC provides a variable vehicle reimbursement rate to accommodate for personal vehicle use for mail delivery. Reimbursement rates fluctuate with fuel prices. The applicant is responsible for all vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance costs for their vehicle.

    Hourly Rate: $17.99/hr

    Compensation for this position uses our Guaranteed Wage system, which guarantees a certain wage even if you work less than the scheduled time.
