May supervise and guide work of lower level mail clerks. Additionally, Mail Clerk, Sr. typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a Mailroom Supervisor. The Mail Clerk, Sr. gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.     What’s a typical day as a Data Entry Mail Clerk?

    • Receives, opens, sorts, scans and distributes mail and forms internally
    • Directs outgoing mail to the Mail Center
    • Follows established procedures to appropriately handle and distribute cash/checks, certified mail, registered mail, and returned mail
    • Prepare data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information from mail, forms and applications
    • Maintains database
    • May be responsible for internal preparation of applications
    • May prepare and deliver documentation to the Imaging Center
    • Provides assistance by performing a variety of service and support functions to the department

    This job might be an outstanding fit for you if you have:

    • 1 year of data entry, clerical, or administrative experience.
    • Requires strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to actively listen, and ask meaningful probing questions
    • Requires strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills
