    Job Summary

    The Server Administrator supports the development and implementation of all server hardware and software to include monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving any issues. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization’s policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    > All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outline in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP's, and any other related training
    > Consistently ensures an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner
    > Ensures that all software is tested and upgraded in a timely manner, as needed
    > Maintains a current list of all software applications including currently-used and obsolete software, and updates this list regularly
    > Ensures that all server software is properly licensed
    > Assists Director of IT in maintaining disaster recovery plans
    > Monitors usage and access to computer and software
    > Performs analysis of server needs and contributes to design of IT architecture, integration and installation
    > Evaluates server hardware and software requirements and capabilities, and makes recommendations
    > Coordinates installation of hardware and software by others
    > Aids in selection, supports, trains, and maintains software programs and hardware
    > Communicates and coordinates network schedules, backups, and downtime to users
    > Coordinates third party maintenance for server infrastructure
    > Prepares and maintains documentation of server infrastructure
    > Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS
    > All other duties as assigned
    > Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

    SPECIFICS REQUIRED:
    > High school diploma or GED
    > At least 21 years of age
    > Bachelor's Degree in related field and 1 years related IT experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
    > Experience with tape backup management and restore techniques
    > Practical experience managing Windows Active Directory
    > Practical experience in server management and deployment of Windows Server
    > Practical experience managing Microsoft Exchange in an enterprise environment
    > Practical experience managing virtual server environments such as VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V
    > Experience in Remote Administration of Windows Servers
    > Experience with IPv4 networks and concepts

    > Regular and reliable attendance
    > Strong computer skills with experience in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets (ability to demonstrate proficiency)
    > Must be able to diagnose and solve complex problems in a high-pressure environment, prioritize critical tasks and learn quickly, at times, during critical situations

    While performing the job duties, the employee is required to maneuver in all areas of casino and related entity locations when necessary. Ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the offices and between buildings or properties for the duration of work hours. Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and examine documents, records and files. Job may sit, lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time.

    MENTAL: Social perceptiveness to assess and understand other’s reactions and behavior. Critical thinking to use logic and reasoning, to reach conclusions or optional solutions. Mental capacity to monitor sometimes complex situations, to make quick decisions, tolerate stress, and/or conduct tasks under critical deadlines. Ability to concentrate on tasks over a period of time without being distracted.

Must be able to work irregular or additional hours or shifts, including holidays or weekends, as assigned, in order to meet business needs.
