Mailroom Manager directs and oversees mailroom activities including the sorting and delivery of incoming mail, as well as the preparation and sending of outgoing mail. Monitors inventory, checks and reorders items as needed. Being a Mailroom Manager receives and allocates office supplies. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Mailroom Manager typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mailroom Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. DUTIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Know or be able to learn how to operate mail sorting and postage equipment.

- Sort incoming, outgoing, and in-house mail for delivery.
- Monitor postage meter and order more when necessary.
- Pick up and deliver mail to Orange County mail drops daily in all buildings.
- Interact with customer office contacts and demonstrate vital customer service.
- Deliver “special” mail as needed.
- Process “air express” mail as needed.
- Provide messenger services as requested.
- Process Federal Express packages as required.
- Assure safety practices are followed.
- Ability to load and unload delivery products and packages
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Problem-solve delivery issues
- All other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 40 lbs
- Able to push carts with up to 100 lbs of parcels
- Able to work standing or sitting for up to 8 hours
- Able to travel in office and outdoor settings in all weather conditions
