Mail Room Clerk

Location: Jefferson City, MO

Pay Range: $13.50/hr. - $14.50/hr.

Shifts: 

7:00am - 3:30pm Monday thru Friday

8:00am - 5:30pm Monday thru Friday

3:30pm - 12:00am Monday thru Friday

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sorts, counts, and processes mail as well as other documents received by the project
2. Operates letter openers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, and other office equipment
3. Prepares and organizes documents for scanning
4. Scans, indexes, and validates documents and ensure quality of images
5. Raises issues of concern and/or problems to the attention of the Mail Processing Lead
6. Accurately completes necessary documentation and data entry activities in all systems
7. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all case information
8. Meets all standards established for this position

Performs other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification;
• Ability to follow directions;
• Ability to interact courteously and effectively with a variety of people;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment;
• Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously;
• Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently;
• Basic computer skills proficiency;

Experience working with scanning equipment and corresponding software preferred
