Job Objective : The Kitchen Supervisor oversees food production operations in the ARC kitchen. They organize kitchen processes to maintain high quality, safety, and efficiency.

They train and manage in a manner that meets the objectives set forward by the Salvation Army.

Other job-related responsibilities and tasks may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

• Supervise kitchen staff.
• Train and supervise beneficiaries assigned to the kitchen for work therapy and skill training.
• Schedule kitchen workload to allow for timely meal preparation, serving and clean-up; as well as adequate beneficiary services ( skill training).
• Bi-weekly inventory of all unused items.
• Plan menus and order food consistent with nutritional rehabilitation and budge constraints.
• Cook and prepare food as needed (work alongside beneficiary staff when necessary).
• Consult with professional staff as necessary concerning beneficiary services.
• Inform Resident Manager and / or Program Manager as to staffing needs.
• Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army.
