Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Mailroom Clerk. As a Mailroom Clerk, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing mail, as well as providing general administrative support to the office. This is a full-time position with regular office hours.
Duties:
- Sort and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate departments or individuals
- Prepare outgoing mail, including packaging, labeling, and arranging for pickup or delivery
- Operate postage meter and ensure accurate postage on all outgoing mail
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and order new supplies as needed
- Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Provide support with data entry and order entry tasks
- Assist with calendar management and scheduling appointments
- Maintain a clean and organized mailroom area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a clerical or office setting preferred
- Proficient in using Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Strong typing skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of basic clerical procedures and office equipment operation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills
