Mainframe Programmer reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale mainframe computer system. Maintains and develops online and batch application programs. Being a Mainframe Programmer develops and implements a disaster recovery plan. Works with project members to develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts. Additionally, Mainframe Programmer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a project leader or manager. Title: CNC Programmer
Pay: $23-26/hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Responsibilities:
- Running and inspecting of parts utilizing both mill and lathe machines.
- Interpret individual project blueprints, design programs and set up the machines for production.
- Basic machine cleaning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensures tool and machine proper usage and preventive maintenance.
- Depending on the job, employee will run a Haas mill or manual Bridgeport lathe.
- Learn to read and understand/complete shop floor paperwork to maintain proper records and meet customer requirements.
- Learn and practice proper methods of part handling including unpacking new jobs for processing and packing finished work in preparation for shipping.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of High School diploma and/or equivalent.
-5 years experience with Hass mills and manual Bridgeport lathe preferred
-5 programming and Mastercam experience
-Blueprint reading experience required
-Manufacturing experience required
-Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
-Ability to analyze and resolve basic problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or equipment, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, extremes of heat and cold, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
