Job Title: Genetec Programmer and Installer

Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Genetec Programmer and Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, configuring, and installing Genetec security systems for our clients. Your expertise in Genetec programming, combined with your installation skills, will be essential in delivering high-quality, customized security solutions to meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design and Planning: Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand their security requirements and design customized Genetec security solutions.
• Programming and Configuration: Develop and implement custom configurations, scripts, and integrations within the Genetec Security Center platform to optimize system functionality and meet client specifications.
• Installation and Setup: Install, configure, and set up Genetec security systems, including access control systems, video surveillance systems, and intrusion detection systems, at client sites according to project requirements and industry best practices.
• Integration: Integrate Genetec systems with third-party security devices and systems, such as CCTV cameras, card readers, and alarms, to create comprehensive security ecosystems tailored to client needs.
• Testing and Commissioning: Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of Genetec systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Training and Support: Provide training to clients' staff and end-users on how to operate and maintain Genetec security systems effectively. Offer ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including system designs, configurations, installation plans, and user manuals, to support clients and internal teams in system management and troubleshooting.
• Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively to ensure successful project completion within budget and schedule constraints.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience (X years) in programming, configuring, and installing Genetec security systems, including Security Center, Omnicast, Synergis, and AutoVu.
• Strong technical proficiency in networking, hardware installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to security systems, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and HIPAA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as Genetec Certified Specialist (GCS), Genetec Certified Engineer (GCE), or equivalent certifications preferred.
